Business and the Internet

Welcome to the Business section of the NetSafe website. Content is being developed now to build this section into a well-used resource for small to medium enterprises in particular.

  • Staff Cybersafety Use Agreement

Currently, we have available a generic Staff Cybersafety Use Agreement which you can use for the personnel in your organisation. This use agreement is designed to be read, discussed and then signed by every staff member. It defines obligations, responsibilities, and the nature of possible consequences associated with breaches and behaviour deemed to undermine the safety and professionalism of the work environment. The use agreement is able to be customized to suit individual organisations as details and requirements will differ. You can contact us on queries@netsafe.org.nz or 0508 NETSAFE (638 723) for assistance or more information.

  • Does your computer system have a current WOF?

NetSafe's Net Basics campaign is designed to help every Kiwi get their computer set up with at least a basic level of protection. The security of computers used in the business sector is particularly important, given the amount and type of data these computers typically store. Doing the Net Basics can help protect your system against hackers, viruses, spyware and more. Click here to find out more.

  • NetSafe/MYOB Internet Security Survey

Safety with communication technologies such as the internet and mobile phones are important issues for New Zealand businesses. In 2004, NetSafe developed on an online survey of businesses to learn more about common online security practices.  MYOB, a company with thousands of New Zealand businesses as customers, kindly asked their clients to fill out our survey.  The response was tremendous.  We'd like to thank MYOB for their assistance, and the MYOB customers who took the time to help us out.
