'Additional email added to your account' scams

Similar to online banking scams, this type of scam claims to be looking out for your interests. You receive an email from a common service, such as PayPal, which says that an additional email address has been added to your account, and if you do not want that email address to have access to your account, you need to click on a link, login and remove the additional email address. The link takes you to a fake log-in site designed to harvest your login details.
