Online banking scams

Almost everyone with an email address has received, or knows someone who has received one of these scams. Generally, they say something like, "Dear customer, due to a recent security breach we require all customers to confirm their online banking details. Please log on using the link provided to ensure your ongoing security." Clicking on the link takes you to a false web-site which will record your details so that the scammer can gain access to your bank account. As with the Nigerian letters, these are very common and not worth forwarding to law enforcement. As with many scams, replying can result in further emails, so it is best to simply delete them.
