All about emails

An email is a message (like a letter) that can be sent to other people over the internet. Unlike traditional mail that is sent through the post, emails can be sent on your computer instantly to anyone who has an email address, anywhere in the world. In addition to a written message, you can also send images (like photos), music and even movies!

Top tip:

Never open emails from people you don't know. Delete them straight away!

Emailing can be a great way to stay in touch with family and friends, but there are also some not-so-good things that you need to know about in order to keep you and your computer safe. Click on the headings below to read about some of the risks of emailing and how to avoid them.
