Ch-ch-chain letters

Chain-letters are most often hoax emails. They may be sent to you by a friend or as spam (junk email). They may say that either something good will happen to you if you send the email on to other people, or something bad will happen to you if you don't. Sometimes chain-letters say both. Some chain-letters are silly and some are scary.

Chain-letters should always be deleted, and never sent on.

What should I do if I get one?

If the chain-letter upsets you, click on your Hector Safety Button (if you have him swimming with you), or turn off the computer screen and get help from your parent, caregiver or teacher (if you are at school). Never send a chain-letter on.

Did you know . . .?

Because chain letters are usually hoaxes (sometimes very mean ones), whatever they say isn’t actually true. Nothing bad will happen to you or anyone else if you just delete them.
