Always check it out with your caregivers first

It can be a good idea to have a chat with your caregivers (your parents or the people who look after you) about what the rules are in your family when it comes to sending emails. Some families prefer an adult to check all emails before they are sent, even if everyone in the family has their own email address. Other families discuss what the rules are, and then trust that everyone will follow them.

What are the rules in your house?

No matter what the rules are in your family, if you ever have any doubt about whether or not to send an email, always ask your caregivers first. They can help you decide whether the content of the email (what it’s about) is ok, as well as whether it’s ok to send it to the recipient (the person the email is addressed to).
