Learn more about photos and videos

One of the most fun things to do online is to look at the many photos and videos that people from all around the world have posted. Sometimes the images might be of people you know, but you can also watch a music video from your favourite singer, look at photos of famous places, and see what it’s like to live in a far away country. Sites like YouTube.com and flickr.com let us share pictures and videos for free. But is it safe?

Lucy’s story

Lucy’s 8th birthday party was held over the weekend. She has lots of photos from the party that she wants to share with her friends. That might be a bit hard to do though, as some of her friends are from school, but she also has friends from Guides and her dancing class that don’t go to her school. Lucy also wants to share the photos with her cousins who live in Australia!

Lucy talks with her mum about posting some of the photos from her birthday party on a website that her parents have set up for the family.

What do you think Lucy's mum will say? Click here to read the next part of Lucy’s story.
