What’s plagiarism?
You’ve got half an hour before you have to leave for school, and your report on the bottlenose dolphin is due on the teacher’s desk first thing. Only problem is it’s not finished! If only you’d starting writing it earlier you might have finished on time, but without the aid of a time machine, it looks like you’re going to have to hand in an unfinished project.
In a last-ditch effort to get the project finished, you re-read the last question you have to answer. You’d found a really cool website about dolphins over the weekend; maybe there’s some info on there to help you answer it?
You quickly find some stuff on the webpage that answers the only question you have left, but looking at your watch you see that it’s just about time to leave for school. Do you:
re-write the paragraph in your own words for your project, all the while realising you’ll probably have to run to school to make it on time? Click here if you choose to do this!
copy and paste the info from the webpage into the space for the last answer, quickly changing the font to match the rest of the report? Click here if you choose to do this!
