What can I text?
Never use your mobile to send a rude or mean text to anyone, even if you mean it as a joke. It can be hard to tell if someone is joking if they’re not speaking to you face-to-face. Texts like “You’re so dumb” can be really hurtful, even if you don’t really mean it.
Before you press send, always stop and think about how the text would make you feel if you got it. If the answer is ‘bad’, then don’t press send.
Keep texts short. Some phones only allow a certain number of letters/numbers to be written in each text message. Read the ‘How’ section below for tips on how to make a short message even shorter!
