Law enforcement & e-Crime

There are actually a number of New Zealand government agencies that enforce the laws of our country on the Internet including the New Zealand Police, the Department of Internal Affairs - Censorship Compliance Unit, the Customs Service and the Commerce Commission. We will ultimately have contributions on NetSafe from all four of these government agencies.  Commissioner of Police Howard Broad and Steve O'Brien of Censorship Compliance are guest editors of pages about the work of their agencies.  Both have been key supporters of the NetSafe and we appreciate their participation here.

The Internet Safety Group and the New Zealand Police now have a brochure about e-crime - how to identify and report it (see the pdf on the right) which can be ordered simply by sending the NetSafe an email at queries@netsafe.org.nz.
