NetSafe Kit for Schools

The NetSafe Kit for Schools guides New Zealand schools through a step-by-step process to establish and maintain a cybersafe learning environment.

The kit is a model of best practice that is based upon NetSafe's three core components of cybersafety:

- An infrastructure of policies, procedures and signed student and staff use agreements, which is actively enforced
- An effective electronic security system
- A comprehensive cybersafety education programme for the entire school community.

In addition to including updated policy templates and use agreements for staff members and students, the NetSafe Kit for Schools contains specific role descriptions for key school personnel who have important roles in ensuring cybersafety, including Boards of Trustees, Principals, Cybersafety Managers, Heads of Department/Syndicate leaders, Guidance Counsellors and Librarians.
The kit is available for use by schools by clicking here.
