Teaching cybersafety

Classroom teachers have a key role in disseminating cybersafety education to students. This section of the NetSafe website is designed for New Zealand teachers for use with their students, and will eventually include teaching materials, stories and lesson plans. Teaching resources are posted as they are finished, so please visit again soon.

  • Hector's WorldTM teaching plans - Hector's WorldTM is an animated series exploring cybersafety for early childhood and primary school age children. The first set of lesson plans, based on episode one of Hector's World, are available for teachers to use with their students.  Click here to read more.

If you have particular questions, you are welcome to contact NetSafe's School Sector Manager Richard Beach on 09 362 0971, or richardb@netsafe.org.nz.
