School websites

Many schools are developing their own websites. If these websites are on the internet, serious consideration has to be given to what material is posted on the site, both text and images.

Offering global access to student information and images has very serious implications regarding privacy and safety. It is not just your local community that can access this material.

NetSafe strongly recommends that schools review the Ministry of Education's guidelines before posting a website (Community organisations can also use these guidelines.) Click here to read the guidelines on the TKI website.
