NetSafe on Bebo
NetSafe has set up a Bebo page so that you can get help as soon as you need it when you’re online.
So, what’s the deal?
We get a lot of calls and emails about some of the dodgy things that you guys come across when you’re online. Amongst some of the more common questions is stuff like:
- What can I do if someone’s hassling me online?
- How do I stop someone from sending me horrible texts?
- What can I do to make sure I’m using social networking sites (like Bebo and MySpace) as safely as possible?
- How do I get rid of this icky virus my computer’s got?
- Who can I talk to if I get myself into trouble online?
NetSafe’s Bebo page is a fast and easy way of finding out the answers to these questions, and asking about other problems that you might be having. Just add us as a friend and with one click, you can read up on the latest cybersafety risks, take polls and quizzes to check out your cybersmartz, and see what other young people have to say about how they stay safe online. You can also ask the NetSafe team for help and information about how to use the web and ICT equipment safely. Our contact centre staff will be on Bebo from 8am to 6pm every weekday, so you’re guaranteed a fast answer to any question you ask.
