Cybersafety Policy
This template is a statement of the service's approach to cybersafety. It includes the rationale and objectives behind the policy, procedures which help ensure the safe and responsible use of ICT belonging to, or brought into the centre, and outlines the possible responses the service may make if breaches of the cybersafety policy occur.
The cybersafety policy should become an integral part of the set of policies kept by your ECE service. The template will need to be personalised to meet the service's individual requirements, and following the appropriate consultation, approved and reviewed in the normal way.
Acceptable Use Agreement for staff
This template outlines the rules and responsibilities which those who work in an ECE service will be expected to follow. The agreement complements the cybersafety policy template, translating the policy into specific expectations of personnel. As with the policy template, the use agreement should be personalised in consultation with the relevant personnel. It is important that the two documents are distributed together, and adequate time for a careful reading is provided, before the use agreement is signed and returned to the centre.
A copy of the Cybersafety Policy template is included with this download reflecting the intention that the current policy should be distributed to those being asked to sign an acceptable use agreement
Acceptable Use Agreement for parents and caregivers
As with the personnel use agreement, this template complements the policy template above. In an environment where parents and other visitors are making increasing use of both ECE and privately-owned ICT such as mobile phones, the cybersafety use agreement for parents and caregivers reminds visitors of their responsibilities to help maintain a safe environment at the centre.
This document is designed to be printed separately, or to be incorporated in your service's handbook for parents and caregivers. In this use agreement, parents and caregivers are invited to view the centre's policy document.
