Consuming media
Some of the best things to do on the net are to watch videos, download music and look at pictures of yourself and your friends. While you are doing this you just need to be careful about a few things. Filesharing sites like Limewire and kazaa can have music and movies on them that you like and want but it is important to think about the risks before using site like these. Sites where anyone can download and upload files can have anything embedded or attached to the file that you are about to look at: viruses, spyware, scary or sexual images. To read about how to keep safe on p2p sites click here. Anyone can post videos on Youtube and sometimes you can accidently come across sexually explicit material, or images of extreme violence because the video is wrongly marked. You will need to tell an adult you trust and flag the video. When you are watching videos and looking at pictures it is important to think about how this might be affecting your digital footprint.
